Rebecca Bauer

Seamless Support for Nonprofits

Rebecca Bauer partners with nonprofits and mission-driven organizations to elevate their voice, mission, and impact through editorial strategy and compelling content. She is a writer and nonprofit consultant with deep experience helping organizations translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and accessible stories.​

Rebecca brings a strong background in editorial strategy, content development, and program support. She has led the creation of blogs, newsletters, reports, toolkits, op-eds, and social media copy, and supports clients in building editorial calendars and messaging frameworks aligned with their strategic goals. Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of K–12 education, with a particular focus on family-school partnerships, community engagement, and whole child development.

She previously served as Senior Manager of Family & Community Engagement at National PTA, where she designed and managed national grant programs, developed resources for families and school communities, and launched Notes from the Backpack, a widely recognized podcast that brought education policy and family engagement conversations to a national audience.

Through Rebecca Bauer Consulting, she works with organizations such as The Jed Foundation, National PTA, NeighborWorks America, the National School Boards Association, Switchyard Magazine, and Greater Good Strategy. Clients often engage Rebecca when they need a steady, capable partner who can step in quickly, understand the work, and help move it forward.

Rebecca holds an M.S.Ed. in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in childhood education from Vassar College. She lives in Washington, DC with her wife, daughter, and dog.
